I held the responsibility for the day-to-day management of all aspects of GAA Handball (National Governing Body), proactively managing the performance of the full-time team and the execution of the association’s strategic goals.Other principal accountabilities included: • Providing a comprehensive support service to the 170+ Irish handball clubs.• Managing all aspects of the association’s financials in collaboration with the GAA Finance Department• Regular liaison with Sport Ireland and other third-party agencies regarding funding applications, mid-year reviews and governance compliance.• Manage the successful completion of the National Fixtures programme.• Management of all logistics of the staging of the Annual Congress and National All-Star Awards• Negotiation and point of liaison with sponsors and commercial partners. • Development of positive working relationships and collaborations with all International Handball Associations, including representing GAA Handball regularly at World Handball Council meetings.
