Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis within the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and working closely with all members of the business planning team, I support the strategic decision making process of the PHSA providing analysis, advice and recommendations. I also play a key role in the development, compilation and review of PHSA annual and multi year budgets as well as period end reporting.In collaboration with PHSA senior staff, I am also responsible for identifying opportunities for increased PHSA operational and financial resource utilization and as required, conducting operational reviews, business process improvement reviews and service delivery modeling for the PHSA. I consolidate certain PHSA interim and year end financial reports and forecasts including a written variance analysis as required for the Executive Committee, Finance Committee and Board of Directors. I prepare comprehensive and timely reports for Ministry of Health requests for financial information.I also provide training to PHSA non-financial corporate staff in areas such as developing operating and capital budgets, monitoring and interpreting financial and utilization information, analysing deviations from plan and investigating causes, and competent utilization of computer technology.

Portland, Oregon Area

•Budgeting & Planning Lead Analyst on Oregon site leading fellow analysts in completion of Month and Quarter End Close, ensuring allocations for 12 different customers were aligned. Lead bi-weekly forecasting process, providing detailed financial analysis to all budget owners.•Site point of contact for Corporate Services (CS) Operations, ensuring strong business support to multiple customers across a wide-stream of finance organisations.•Oregon Management Reporting Lead. I owned the completion of Oregon Monthly Report Close Pack ensuring data integrity and clear linkage between the business and financials. Also presented on a bi-weekly basis to Senior Management on reportable events.•Budgeting Lead. I was the financial lead on-site for the budgeting process, partnering with Operations to ensure strong alignment on future funding needs on the site were identified and prioritised, as well as providing multiple levels of planning and financial information to Senior Management. •Benchmarking. I lead a number of benchmarking initiatives across the Virtual Factory, partnering with various finance organizations to provide a number of efficiencies to the organization.•Strategic Long Range Planning. Had sole ownership of providing 5 year Spending Roadmaps for Corporate Services. Conducted on an annual basis, working intensively with senior management, to ensure all future site activities were captured and forecasted correctly.•Delivered a number of Cash Saving Awards bringing savings to the corporation of greater than $5MN.•Active member of CS Lean Team, detailed to implement lean initiatives within Corporate Services in Intel.

•Budgeting & Planning Lead Analyst on Ireland site leading fellow analysts in completion of Close, ensuring allocations for F24/IFO were aligned. Lead weekly forecasting process, understanding and verifying updates from budget owners•Site point of contact for Group Consolidator, ensuring all Corporate Services variance analysis was available and understood to support Consol requirements.•Senior Management Reporting Lead. I owned the completion of the Corporate Services Monthly Report Close Pack ensuring data integrity and clear linkage between the business and financials. I presented out on this package to senior management and group consolidator on a monthly basis. •Treasury Ownership for Corporate Services. I provided monthly and quarterly forecasts on Euro currency spends on a 12 month rolling basis, ensuring utilities spend was correctly reflected and lessening exposure to currency fluctuations.•Planning Lead. I was the Plan Lead on-site, partnering with Operations to ensure strong alignment on future funding needs on the site are identified and prioritised, as well as providing multiple planning and financial information. •Team lead in managing delivery of Cash Savings and Productivity Improvements targets for CS. I was awarded 2 Productivity Awards in 2007.•Active member of Process Working Group, owning and executing specific deliverables.
