In the IT Department of the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin, I solve a variety of problems including Active Directory - Password Resets, Connecting Printers, Updating and Upgrading various Desktop and Laptop computers, fixing monitors, upgrading hardware and software, Networking, using the Assets Database, issuing tickets, using Citrix workspace, Powerchart and other applications within MN-CMS etc.Working as part of a small IT Help Desk team, there is a responsibility to resolve all IT related issues in the hospital in a workflow beginning to end. Users log issues that involve both remote and desktop troubleshooting. I enjoy creating a friendly-working atmosphere between the IT Dept as well as the rest of the staff hospital members. I also work with third party vendors to insure the correct IT equipment is delivered, setup, monitored or distributed throughout the hospital (and to staff). I assist the system administrators as best I can when I have spare time to continue my learning and development.

I was one of the most senior and longest-serving tour guides for the country’s national Rugby and Football stadium, The Aviva Stadium on Lansdowne Road in Dublin. I was responsible for guiding large and small groups on private, corporate and school tours, including many groups from abroad as well as domestic visitors. I also gained a good deal of interaction with the public through handling telephone queries and managing the stadium’s main reception area on occasions.I worked closely with the Tours Manager and the Stadium Management as part of the team and contribute regularly to operational and marketing plans and ideas.I am also a steward at the stadium for The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) and Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) international matches, concerts and other significant events and have been involved somewhat in event control operations on certain occasions.
