My roles as a product engineering student consisted of:• CATIA - Designing machining fixtures and manual grippers for operators to use in production.• TOOLING MODS – Adding modifications to casting tooling to reduce product scrap rates.• REVERSE ENGINEERING - Components of machines for spare parts to avoid machine shutdowns.• 3D PRINTING - Printing various prototypes to help give other engineers a visual representation of the product.• 5S AUDIT – Monthly 5S audits on the tooling archive, ensuring the area follows all 5S guidelines.• HEALTH AND SAFETY – Strictly following all health and safety regulations wearing PPE when necessary, necessary training was provided.
