In this position, my duties include planning and management of tour schedules for various artists. Booking of transport, accommodation and travel schedules are my primary duties, as well as keeping my team informed of schedule adjustments and providing required local information. This fast paced industry has taught me valuable lessons in the importance of adhering to a schedule, time management, team management and working under pressure.

This role involves working with new people, in a very high-pressure environment, on a regular basis. Often, I can be called upon last minute for a performance. Effective cohesion with your team are crucial, as well as the ability to adapt and think on your feet. The role also involves extensive amounts of travel, early starts, long days, with most performances being late at night, requiring a determined work-ethic, and a need to dig deep.

Delivery, set up and running of photo booth at weddings, parties and corporate events.

During the pandemic, while the entertainment industry closed its doors, I had the opportunity to take on a paper delivery service (Evening Herald), delivering to households of elderly and those at higher risk of Covid contraction. Delivering to over seventy houses a day, I was able to get to know most of my clients well, many of them becoming somewhat dependent on me. The role involved precise time-keeping and the ability to communicate well with all clients.

My primary purpose in this role is that of a mentor. It is my job to ensure staff members (new and old) are familiar with company policy, acting as a resource and guide.I am also on the Third Tier Quality Check team. This role is focused on a third level of data verification, ensuring accuracy of data provided for the user while guarding the reputation of the company.

In this position, I was in charge of arranging and organising conferences for the Growing Up in Ireland Longitudinal Study.My role also included liaising with interviewers operating in the field, ensuring their reports were returned regularly. Following this, field reports were electronically added to our database and forwarded to our research team.

In this role, I have undertaken several different tasks, including but not limited to data entry, letter writing, detailed work with spreadsheets, queries department as well as work in a call center which was receiving up to four thousand calls a day. My co workers and I all work for an agency which was hired by LGCSB to perform the aforementioned tasks. Given the nature of agency work, the turnover of staff is quite high. Frequent mistakes or slow performance has resulted in many of my colleagues being let go. I was able to keep my standards in this position up very high while completing my M. Phil thesis between May and October.
