I have experience in a wide range of technologies, including front end frameworks with JavaScript and back-end database management systems. Having worked in the hospitality sector for 11 years, I am very experienced with working with people in a team setting, and communicating with members of the public. Computer Science is a change of field from my undergraduate qualification, a music performance degree. I decided to change directions as I am very interested in the combination of logic and creativity that software development entails, which I believe is a similar combination to what’s required in music – an ability to look at a problem from different perspectives, and to utilise different tools and techniques to find a solution.
