He also has a strong reclaim waste policy, incorporating upcycled and recycled materials into his designs and using secondhand materials when possible. He believes that by using sustainable and eco-friendly approaches, we can create beautiful outdoor spaces that not only enhance the natural environment, but also benefit it for future generations.The name Duir Design is derived from the ancient Irish name of the Oak tree, "Duir." This tree holds a significant symbolic meaning in ancient Irish culture and is considered one of the most sacred trees. Darragh strives to create outdoor spaces that are not only beautiful but also meaningful. The Oak tree serves as a symbol of strength, endurance, protection, and the connection to the natural world, death, and rebirth. Its significance is incorporated in his work and serves as a constant source of inspiration. He aims to bring the meaningful aspect of nature into every garden design project he works on, making the Oak tree a perfect symbol for his garden design business.

Duties Include:- Creating, updating and replenishing seasonal display areas.- Maintaining all horticultural equipment.- Effecting pest control by pruning and spraying insecticides, fungicides and herbicides.- Assisting customers with their enquiries.- Keeping the garden centre organised & maintaining the aesthetics of all plant displays.

First Class Honours BSc Product Design, Innovation and MarketingAs a student of Product Design, I learned to harness my creative, artistic, and problem-solving skills. I also gained a relevant understanding of technology and materials, and a sensitive awareness of human needs and behaviour through user-centred design. I learned to combine these abilities to create products that satisfy, even delight, users. I acquired an understanding of Product Design from both an engineering and a marketing point of view.The course is highly practical, with an emphasis on project-based learning, workshops, laboratory sessions, and group work. A nine month, full-time, paid work experience placement in a relevant employment setting ensured that knowledge gained through coursework was consolidated into real-life experience.

Duties Include:- Liaising with R&D and Marketing on new and developing products.- Developing customers needs and ideas into feasible concepts, from rapid prototyping to full scale manufacture.- Collaborating with the Graphic Designer on display boards and stands for new & existing products.- Ensuring brand consistency and all brand guidelines are followed.- Creating instructional product videos for the website and trade shows.- Attending monthly product reviews and New Product Development meetings.- Consulting with third party companies in Ireland, England, China & America on costings for producing and supplying parts.- Utilising 3D modelling and rendering software Solidworks and Keyshot proficiently. - Presenting new concepts to future clients at customer appreciation and evaluation days.- Understanding the manufacturing capabilities available for the process needed for production.- Preparing files and drawings for 3D Printing, SLA, SLS, CNC, Laser Cutting, Injection Moulding & Blow Moulding.- Experimenting with different materials and plastics to optimise light efficiency.- Bringing a product from ideation stage at college level to final patented product by the end of the placement.

Duties Include:- Getting to know clients, their interests and their needs- Helping clients with daily personal care such as washing, dressing, using the toilet and feeding themselves- Supporting service users in a way that maintains dignity and privacy.- Providing support to physically/mentally disabled people and vulnerable adults.- Ensuring that all areas of the ward are tidy and safe at all times.Key Skills & Competencies- Able to deliver the highest standards of one-to-one care to meet any individuals needs- Have an understanding of and able todemonstrate a commitment to EqualOpportunities and Diversity.- Able to deal with aggressive people who have a challenging behaviour- Possessing excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
