NAVFAC Hawaii Program Manager responsible for oversight of all petroleum energy projects funded by Defense Logistics Agency throughout Navy Region Hawaii. This position included briefs to the senior-most Navy leaders, Flag and General Officers, and state and federal elected officials as well as day to day correspondence with the Hawaii Department of Health and the Environmental Protection Agency. Additional duties included representing the Navy during day to day coordination with Native Hawaiian Organizations to restore a local historic fish pond. This project was the first of its kind within the Department of Defense.

Oversaw GPS survey and base mapping of Iraqi Naval Base in Um Qasr, Iraq (Rank of Lieutenant).

After earning his enlisted submarine warfare qualifications, he became one of the most-junior petty officers to qualify as Engineering Watch Supervisor and the first Machinist Mate in the ship's history to qualify throttleman. Honorably discharged as a Machinist's Mate 2nd Class Petty Officer.
