Since joining Hydrodynamic Pumps in 2015 I have worked on a number of large customized projects involving the waste treatment and energy sectors. Area Manager- Western Australia.I dealt with large mining companies, original equipment manufacturers, consulting engineers and end users on a day to day basis. I was responsible for all contracts on new projects, arranging equipment audits and service work as well as co-ordinating overhauls.

Responsible for all operations of a multi faceted engineering company that included engineering design and drafting and an engineering production facility that includes a CNC machine shop, tool making, fitting shop and boiler making. Many projects involved all facets of the company so the need for careful and timely project delivery was paramount. Responsible for the total operations of the company within the Western Region which extended from Western Australia through South East Asia, India and Africa. Products that were marketed included Drilling Rigs, Compressors and Down the Hole drilling equipment.Operations included all marketing responsibility for the region and management of the Drill Rig manufacturing facility in Perth. When I left, this facility employed 16 workshop staff, a design engineer/draftsman and design draftsman. I was responsible for establishment of this facility in Perth that produced more than 70 Drilling Rigs and millions of dollars in Down The Hole sampling equipment during my time there. Value of the drill rigs varied but many were contracts approaching 2 million dollars.• Manage regional operations• Manage client base throughout South East Asia and India• Set procurement policy both in Australia and overseas• Handle all contracts• Handle all import/export logistics• Manage all manufacturing facility OHS and industrial relations• Manage all facility operations included design, fabrication, CNC machining and field commissioning

In this mainly business development role I was responsible for marketing the company’s exploration drilling products into Western Australia and the surrounding regions. In 16 months we increased the company’s sales in this area from zero to 4.5 million. Markets that we successfully penetrated included the Philippines, Indonesia, South East Asia and India. At this time we established strong business relationships that exist to today. I was also responsible for establishing a small manufacturing facility to manufacture drilling rigs.Some clients included: Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited-India Board of Mines-Philippines Dept of Geological Survey-BotswanaThe trading operations of The Goldfields Group were purchased by Aussie Diamond Products Pty Ltd T/as Ausroc in November 2001. I was asked to manage the re-establishment of the facility in Perth for Ausroc.

In my role as Director of our family owned engineering company I carried out all the normal duties and obligations of a company director. These duties included ensuring along with our other directors that the company operated in a manner that complied with all normal good corporate governance practices. Other duties included ensuring that the company operated in such a way that our employees always worked in a safe workplace. In my role as project manager I was responsible and answerable to the Managing Director for the delivery of all major projects in an efficient, cost effective and safe manner. For projects such as the air cargo system that involved a large amount of repetitious work, I worked with other partners to refine our manufacturing practices to deliver large volumes of equipment in the most efficient manner. All projects involved many hours of pre-tender consultation with the client to ensure the project layout fulfilled their requirements. The Air Cargo and Bulk Handling projects were all of our design and full turn key projects. On the Incinerator projects we handled all engineering design, manufacture, installation and commissioning. The process design was owned and handled by another company.
