Comply with all Ensco's HSE policies as outlined in Ensco's QSMS document.• Performs Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on all Shipboard Electrical Equipment to include but not limited to:  Main and Emergency Generators Distribution (High, Medium and Low Voltage) Variable Frequency Drives (Propulsion and Drilling) Electric Motors (All motors including Propulsion Drive Motors) HVAC Systems (Electrical Part) General Lighting Systems Galley and Laundry Systems• Coordinate all maintenance with other departments to ensure minimum impact on operations involving critical equipment.• Troubleshoots complex electrical systems and facilitates repairs down to the lowest replaceable unit. • Documents equipment historical data for the purpose of reliability analysis and planning necessary upgrades.• Provides Handover to the oncoming electrician providing a seamless transition of work during tour changes and works over at the request of the Chief Electrician when necessary• Performs periodic inventory of spare parts for systems in his area of responsibility to ensure minimal downtime and advises the Chief electrician of low stock levels• Operates and maintains all electrical test equipment.• Reviews power one line diagrams to determine proper isolation of equipment for maintenance purposes.• Performs electrical isolations for various departments when required as part of their PTW.• Maintains integrity of EX installations in hazardous locations and conducts periodic inspections of same.

Diagnosing and applying results using instrument controlled temperature bath units. Diagnosing and applying results using magnetic flow calibrators. Operating, testing, maintaining and repairing safety shut-down systems. Troubleshooting, calibrating and repairing Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) interfaces with pneumatic systems. Troubleshooting, calibrating and repairing Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) interfaces with electronic systems.

Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on all pneumatic and electrical equipment, Proficient knowledge of the use, operation, installation, troubleshooting, termination, and grounding of pneumatic and hydraulic valves, pumps, PLCs, MCCs, fire /gas detection systems. Ability to inspect, repair, and trouble-shoot, low voltage and high voltage MCCs, networks, drives, circuits, and I/O modules within a PLC system.
