Server Repair Technician supports Equus Computer Systems / Server Direct customers through the diagnosis, repair, and upgrade of their server systems. Responsible for maintaining a high standard of customer service through communication via phone, emails, and direct contact with walk-in customers while following Equus policies, procedures, and warranties.

• Perform quality assurance duties as needed to provide incoming and first article inspection of high-performance parts and components.• Facilitated outbound process improvements resulting in a 30% increase in on-time delivery of customer bound orders.• Custodial responsibility for inventory stores exceeding $500K in value Description of duties.• Inspect and process customer returns of RMA equipment.

Verify systems or components functionality using standard test procedures.Used established processes and procedures to diagnose problem, and repairs or replaces defective components to resolves server issues.This include but not limited to:Break/fix servicestroubleshooting down to component level to identify equipment problemshardware testing and wiping hard drivesPerform imaging, configuration, modifications in mixed technology imaging drives/loading Unix,Linux & Microsoft Operating Systemsupdating drivers, firmware upgrades on various enterprise Level servers such as IBM X-Servers, 8677 Blade Centers and other vendors such as Super Micro Super Servers, Azza, Asus, Axiom, and Intel. Diagnose and resolves server issues.Replace defective components and test the final product to assure that quality requirements are metEfficiently prioritize and manage multiple repairs simultaneouslyEscalate unresolved or highly complex issues of the Customer service department and /or to outside vendors.Maintain accurate records and monthly reports, update knowledge base, documents repair process

Managed inventory exceeding $500K on a quarterly and annual basis.

• Refurbish/rebuild desktop pc.• Setup wireless networks.• Deploy workstations.• Provide desktop support on needed bases when help is needed.• Configure PCs and laptops, problem ticket resolutions and track problems • Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and determine network problems.• Experience with PBX System.
