Hello, my name is Darrell Carden and I am a graphic design/visual artist who graduated from Nevada State College with a 3.5 GPA. I have experience with all Adobe programs but excel in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and a few other Adobe software. I learned all my technical training from Truckee Meadows Community College as well as my Fine Arts experience. I have studied art history, drawing, technical art, color theory, design theory, design history, and design business. I have a mixture of history knowledge from both TMCC and NSC. I have a few years in a design business setting. I worked as a Canvas module designer for TMCC's FLAME$ department from February 2020 to June 2021 when the department ended due to funding. Before that, I worked as a florist and learned design in terms of color theory, discipline, technical names, and the theory of flowers. These skills mixed together have taught me how to utilize the creative skills I have. Beyond computer and graphics, I have creative skills from hand as well. Drawing, painting, sketching, and writings are skills I have outside of the computer screen. This helps with furthering my graphic design skills because I can create more unique designs on paper and transfer them to digital. Lastly, as a millennial designer, I have experience with social media and marketing. I have used social media for years and have learned from school to market myself and my art. This can help when I need to run a social page or market work that needs more attention.
