The core business is the global supply of aerosol valves and accessories. Manufacturing Manager.• Reporting to the Managing Director, PVUK had a turnover of £28m and employs 190 staff of which 134 are operations based• Managing 7 Shift Supervisors, Engineering Team, Tool Room, 2 CI/Training co-ordinators, Process Technician and have overall responsibility for 120 production based staff. Vigorously working towards the ultimate goal of achieving “World Class Status”. Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, Including 6 Sigma. Performance management, personnel and machinery (OEE) (RFT) (OTIF). Implementation of ‘Lean Manufacturing’. Controlling departmental budgets including wage/salary initiatives. A member of the European Manufacturing Steering Committee of which I attend a quarterly review with all other European sites. Ensure that the Manufacturing & Engineering resources are pro-actively maintained and all plant machinery/equipment perform to the highest standards. Provide strategic direction and co-ordination of capital projects, liasing and communicating with colleagues & Senior Managers on key milestones and programme plans.
