CurrentConduct research and strategic planning for technology solutions based on organizational needs, objectives, and goals.Manage a wide variety of IT projects ranging in different complexities and scope.Provide consultation to faculty, principal investigators, and lab members to determine their technology and data management needs, in an effort to support their research and academic programs.Administer Dropbox business enterprise cloud services by provisioning accounts, testing and enabling new services, managing third-party integrations via the Dropbox api, and creating activity reports to gather insights on usage and trends. Research, test, provision, and manage cloud computing services, such as AWS, Globus (SaaS), Dropbox, and Microsoft Azure.Work with outside vendors to implement new IT services, as well as upgrade and administer existing IT services.Deploy and manage Windows and Linux servers; physical and virtual servers.Lead project to migrate instructional lab courses from in-person to remote learning environment using AWS AppStream cloud services. The project need was a direct result of the pandemic and mandates to move to remote learning in an expedited time frame while still providing a high quality learning experience.Lead project to migrate data storage from local SAN into Dropbox enterprise cloud storage. The net result has been a decrease in capital and operational expenditures for data management and storage. Users have better control of their data, a greater level of access, and the ability to share with more collaborators.Lead project to implement Wepa cloud-based print management solution by working with the vendor, campus Identity & Access Management group, and users. The project resulted in significant cost savings for printer management expenses such as printer support, maintenance, and acquisition of printer consumables.
