My responsibilities also include calculating capacity totals to ensure public event compliance to local Building and Fire Codes. I also coordinate with the engineers to obtain plans if the event calls for large structures that need permitting. I provide complete AutoCAD plans to clients and local officials to obtain necessary approvals and permits. Prior to event, I then inspect the site to ensure the event layout agrees with completed plans and are in full compliance to local safety codes.

After being laid off due to the shut down, clients contacted me to work independently for their projects, remembering the exceptional work I provided for them. As Designer/ Surveyor, responsibilities include; obtaining lead from salesmen, setting up appointments for surveys, surveying rooftops (measurement of roof, locations of all shading on and off roof), using Suneye camera to get accurate shading analysis, designing solar array for roof using AutoCAD 2010, generating solar reports from Suneye.As Installation Supervisor I would assist the Project Manager with quantity takeoffs, check materials, layout and supervise installation of solar array.

As Draftsman, responsibilites included requirement analysis, all drawing of survey maps, detailing existing conditions, proposed conditions, topography, sanitary and drainage,3D solids, cross sections of structures, ensuring maps are designed to be easily read in field and quantity estimating. I also coordinated with engineers on design and with project supervisors for any changes and/or revisions as assigned.As Survey Crew Chief, resposiblities included field sketches of project site, supervision of rod man and transit man on each project, training of multiple rod men and transit men, analyzing information, calculation of all coordinates with data collector for layout of each project, inspection of all completed work as built, and all data collection for layout of project utilizing both HP 48GX and TDS Recon. Coordination of each project assigned to crew with project supervisors.

As transit operator, responsibilities included running transit (Sokkia and Topcon), layout of roads and dwellings, and backup support of crew chief to ensure quality control. Filled in for crew chief when necessary. Drafting as needed.

Learning every phase of the Machinist trade, from blueprint reading to mechanical drafting to set-up and operation of all machines ( drillpress, lathe, grinders, milling machines, etc.) to inspection of finished parts.
