Freight Brokerage Sales responsible for customer and trucker account generation and retention. Serve as a liaison between M, G & B Services’ customers and independent truckers/truck lines. Accountable for timely coordination (within free time period and without demurrage to customer) of customer cargo moving out of multiple ports/wharfs/customer facilities through the major seaports of the United States. Dispatch of truckers and data entry of truckloads into Keypoint and then later Aljex proprietary brokerage software. Make appointments for loading/unloading at the ports/various customer locations. Daily generation of corporate email of current load listings to independent truckers. Customer service tracking and rate quotations of service lanes.Utilization of multiple load posting websites for daily solicitation of independent truckers on current lanes.Management of a specific book of customer business. Monitoring of customer payment history in relation to aging reports by corporate management. Attendance and involvement at trade shows on behalf of M, G & B Services.

Accountable by local management for the timely routing and profitable costing of all customer shipments. This included supervision and/or personal involvement in all aspects of a customer’s shipment. Aspects of involvement included additional packing, ground/air transport/coordination of all shipments (SED, MAWB, HAWB, and labeling of product) within the U.S., Canada and Mexico, explanation of itemized costs and customer service follow up. Have utilized and are currently proficient in Windows NT 4.0/AS400 workstations, customer specific software & current associated office software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes). Formulated station business plan in accordance with ISO 9002 corporate standard for posting on Corporate Intranet site. Station coordinator for two nationally known large customers responsible for warehousing, inland ground and customer reports monthly. Involved with facility management of outside vendors for regular maintenance of forklifts, weight scale and computer systems for their compliance to ISO 9002 standards. Other duties included but not limited to: ISO 9002 auditor and trainer, leading TSA compliance training, billing/invoice completion, driver pay resolution and compliance, dispatch and routing of drivers, corporate performance and customer driven reports, claims resolution, computer system troubleshooting and imaging of all documents, rate quotes/tracing and training of new employees.
