Started out in the entertainment industry as a stage hand for Transmission Events Multistage music festival, Fun Fun Fun Fest back in 2007 while going to school for Commercial Music Mgmt. degree at ACC. I paid the bills running live sound for a private events big band, traveling around Texas running sound & lights for multiple cover/show bands and picking up random stage hand gigs. Between then and now I've caught crowd surfers, turned away minors, interfaced with wedding planners, pleased some of the most clueless clients without insulting them, learned new audio systems day-of show, traversed Texas crammed in a van with a band and gear to log enough miles for a free trip to the moon, carried more broken handled guitar amps than one could count, rang out thousands of stage wedges, found drum keys when they were needed yesterday, conducted more changeovers than a hostess at the Oscars and kicked Johnny Rotten out of Girl Talk's green room. Though I may have worn many hats in this business ranging from event security to live sound engineer up to production manager, I still get the rush of solving problems on my feet and keeping the show going no matter what the role. These "hats" I've worn in the past have given me an understanding of the big picture from many perspectives. This has bolstered my ability to critically think for myself, act autonomous and to solve problems on the fly and work well with other crews. All the while keeping the best interests of the producers and patrons in mind. I feel comfortable and confident about leading a crew, making the tough decisions and delegating tasks. I keep and spread a positive mental attitude in my work environment. I can take direction and criticism from superiors without taking it personally.I lead by example and wouldn't ask anyone to do anything I wasn't willing to do myself. I pride myself on my work ethic and positive "can do" attitude.I love my job. I take pride in my work...my name, and it shows.
