Manufacturing Engineer for defense contractor of military aircraft ground support equipment, environmental containers for weapons/electronics systems, combat vehicles, and other contracts; point of contact for technical issues on numerous major contracts, cumulatively worth over $10.8MAnalyze contract documents, drawings, technical specifications, and refine information to produce Bills Of Materials, Work Instructions, CAD models, drawings and manufacturing methods, and configuration management to produce conforming products within contract terms.Provide technical support for Production, Purchasing and Quality Departments, as well as Customer Support/Interface throughout the life of the programs. Supplier development to source parts, processes and materials.Program Manager to monitor and coordinate progress and schedules to keep programs on track to meet due dates. Serve as liaison between internal/external customers, resolve obstacles to production, configuration, cost control or quality requirements.Welding Engineer providing weld design, development, writing/qualification of welding procedures and welder qualifications, also administrator of welding programs (SCWI).Design structure and procedure for ERP system BOM development for CIM and SYSPRO systems.Prepare price proposals, including cost/pricing data, past performance matrix and technical narratives on capabilities, facilities and equipment. Create work breakdown structures, technical writing including work instructions for production personnel. Develop and substantiate appropriate government documents (RFD/RFW, CDRL) to meet contract data requirements.First Article development and management from inception to acceptance, including field service to support customer inspections/testing at customer test & maintenance facilities, military bases, etc.Authored/implemented ISO procedures for drawing configurations, engineering processes and program management functions, conducted ISO internal audits.
