When the ICA elected to partner with Effie Worldwide to help bring the globally recognized marketing effectiveness awards program to Canada, they needed that transition to be a smooth one, given it would be replacing the long-standing and Canadian born Cassie’s.As director, I’m responsible for managing the implementation, communication and execution of the awards inaugural year, delivering a world-class experience for entrants, judges and gala attendees as we take the program from submission through to cross Canada judging teams right to the gala event.

I've worked with our account teams leaders to help shape and active, vital role for a department, whose role is changing drastically, within the new JWT.I've helped move the Tim Hortons business from primarily a TV/OOH/Radio client to a broader trans-media offering with powerful groundbreaking programs such as: the Dark Roast Dark Store Launch, the Creamy Chocolate Chill “Levitation” campaign, and the first ever Tims Hockey Card Promotion. All of this led to one of the brands best performing years ever.Picked up solid new business wins with Nike and Hotels.com, the Juno’s and Starseed Medicinal Inc. with each brand offering an opportunity to deliver a breadth of work beyond our traditional roots.

For a brief period, I got a wonderful chance to partner with a couple of former colleagues building their own business. This small 5-person shop was positioned to be everything big agencies were struggling with, nimble, flexible and collaborative with senior brain power working day to day on client challenges. My job was to help build the internal operational structure that would drive this engine and extend our partner relationship in a way that allowed our breadth of offering to be both credible and actionable.We had a solid base with new business wins, (Wheetabix) and existing clients, (MolsonCoors & Nestle).
