Establish operational strategies to meet quality and customer service standards. Assistant food and beverage directors are the right-hand man or woman to the head chef or executive chef. They work closely to ensure that everything runs smoothly in the kitchen, bar, or other area of responsibility.Assistant F&B directors may also be responsible for managing a team of servers, bartenders, cooks, etc. Their duties might include scheduling shifts, training staff on proper procedures and techniques, and ensuring that everyone is performing up to standards.
