We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has made a commitment to helping Veterans, children, homeless, and low income families who are at risk of hunger.Currently through our partnership with agencies like Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange, and our participation in their Grocery Rescue Program. It allows us to pick up from several food sources such as Target, Walmart, Von's, Ralph's, Smart & Final and Aldi grocery stores. Currently we are helping about 180 to 350 families with food assistance per week, and growing. We are a client choice food pantry. Clients choose their own food based on their dietary needs.We are also partnered with Orange County Food Bank, and Food Finders. These valued partnerships allow us to be a stable source in the community to families that are food insecure in Orange County.The Men With Vision Foundation also provides a Toy Giveaway to needy families in the community once a year.We are bridging the gap for those in need. Statistics show that their are 350,000 people are at risk of hunger. Currently 46.5 percent of Orange County's public school children rely on free lunch or subsidized meals. These programs in the school cafeteria provide breakfast and lunch and when the school year ends, so do these meals. Parents who are already struggling to pay for the basic necessities, can't buy enough food to replace these lost meal. 1 in 5 Orange County children are food insecure and 10 percent of people at risk of going hungry each month are seniors. Orange County's homeless population includes families and individuals of every race. This population consist of working families, runaways, children, seniors, mentally ill and U.S. Veterans. They live in cars, parks, under bridges, motels and homeless shelters trying to maintain their dignity while they struggle to survive.
