IAAPA presents trade expositions which attract over 50,000 annual visitors. I have served three terms as Board Member and was inducted into the prestigious IAAPA Hall of Fame in 2022.

I focused on the creation, management, economic and social impact of major destination resorts/leisure events & real estate projects through the use of real-life case studies and experiences.

Malaysia, Singapore

Owned by Khazanah Nasional, Malaysia's Soveriegn Fund, which is heavily invested (USD3+ Billion) in the Leisure & Tourism sector. As full-time advisor I was tasked with advising and overseeing the development, operation and marketing of investments in major destination resorts, hotels and residential projects in Southeast Asia, including Legoland Resort Malaysia.

Singapore

As CEO was responsible for the expansion of Sentosa Island Resort resulting in SGD 9 Billion of investments with Universal Studios Theme Park, 15 Hotels, multiple attractions, supporting infrastructure, marina and 2500 residential units. Annual attendance ~ 20 million.

Hawaii, United States

As CEO the company expanded to become Hawaii's largest owner/operator of tourist attractions. Tourists submarines operated on three islands as well as two theme parks, dinner cruises and other attractions.

Hong Kong Sar

As CEO I was directed to revive this 20 year old attraction. This was accomplished with a $700M expansion strategy which doubled attendance and greatly increased profits to create a self sustaining attraction.

Tokyo, Japan

A decade with Disney in California and Tokyo culminated with a four year assignment for the opening of Disney's first resort outside the USA. We successfully recruited and trained 10,000 Japanese staff and introduced the 'Disney' style guest experience.
