Customer facing PM implementing Cisco and Avaya infrastructure projects per SOW. Developed RFP responses, validated SOWs, coordinated resources, removed deployment obstacles and maintained communications with stakeholders.Highlights:• Delivered the $1M, 9-month, initial phase of a Cisco infrastructure implementation for a large, southeastern university medical system. Implementation included Business Edition servers, routers, gateways, IDF cabinet and cable upgrades/additions.• Delivered a $800k Avaya hardware refresh for a large, midwestern hospital system. Replaced the Session, System and Communication Mangers and the AES servers.• Delivered 2 Avaya CPodFX infrastructure projects with the first upgrading a pair of new, unused CPod’s to current versions while the second $780k project migrated the hardware-based systems to the CPod’s.

Led a team of 6 geographically dispersed customer facing PM’s, implementing a rolling portfolio of Unified Communications expansion and conversion projects for an average of 30 distinct customers. Ensured SME availability, removed deployment obstacles, mentored team, addressed escalations and maintained executive communications.Highlights:• Led the team implementing the company’s largest international deployment of voice and data services across eight locations in the United Kingdom and Europe. • Fulfilled a special request and acted as PM implementing Unified Communication services for an international financial services organization with locations in London, Singapore and the US.• Designed and implemented a PM workload balancing process using the in-house project management system. • Created and implemented standardized MS Project schedules for the Cisco HCS based proprietary voice platform. Currently creating templates for multiple product implementation projects.

Reorganized the Voice Communications Engineering team and aggressively moved to launch stalled projects supporting a 13 hospital, Medical University environment. Highlights:• Managed the voice and data infrastructure build of 6-story medical office building. Included inbound circuits, MDF and IDF closet builds and vertical and horizontal cabling.• Upgraded the Children’s Hospital, Avaya CM platform bringing hardware and software to current levels. • Upgraded the ‘Academic Campus’ Amcom PBX automation system.• Upgraded eight ‘Community’ hospitals-based Avaya PBX’s to current hardware/software releases and enhanced failover capabilities.• Upgraded the 15,000 user Avaya Intuity Audix Voice Mail system to the Avaya Modular Messaging platform.

Oversee development, planning, execution, control and closeout of assigned projects within Retail Program Management group. Plan and manage all phases of project life cycle, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and utilizing methodologies to optimize operations. Highlights:• Led a team of PMs through the first two years of a four year, multi-million-dollar Federal Regulations software upgrade project (Emergency Economic Stimulus Act of 2008). • Upgraded backbone infrastructure, wired cubicles and offices and built out the MDF and IDF closets for a new branch office in Manila, Philippines.

Managed telecommunications operations including: staff training and supervision, budgeting, infrastructure builds, vendor relations and contract management and project development and execution. Operation spanned 2 hospitals, 8 remote, urgent/family care clinics and 6-story outpatient care/medical office with surgery suites, imaging, cancer treatment center and physicians’ offices. Highlights:• Upgraded and standardized hardware/software platforms the hospitals and remote locations.• Migrated the PBX power circuits to generator backed circuits• Migrated 2 hospitals to wireless handset technology and migrated the PBX power circuits to generator backed power circuits • Managed the voice and data infrastructure build-out of a state-of-the-art, 6-story, outpatient care/medical office building including a radiation treatment center. Build included inbound voice/data circuits, MDF and IDF closet builds and vertical and horizontal cabling to offices and cubicles.

Joined the organization as a member of the Data Center Operations staff and held multiple Data Center and Support Desk positions moving through the ranks to end my tenure with 3 years as the Telecommunications Manager responsible for all PBX and infrastructure activities. Highlights:• Built the voice and data infrastructure for a 4 story, research laboratory and office building.• Built an on-site, remote data center including power, raised floor, HVAC, fire suppression, inbound voice and data circuits and internal network cables.• Expanded the original data center to upgrade power, add floorspace, enhance HVAC system, add cabinets to support jack fields, switches, routers, plus managed all related vendor contracts and relationships.
