As the son of a career soldier I grew up moving between Europe and Fort Ord. My parents eventually retired to the Monterey Peninsula. I have lived all over California, but always returned to Monterey. .I graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Political Science. I received my Juris Doctorate from Monterey College of Law. After receiving my law degree I was director of operations for fine art galleries for the next thirteen years before taking the state bar exam and becoming an attorney in 1998.I have been in practise since 1999, previously as an employee of local law firms and then working as a contract attorney for other attorneys. I represent clients in all aspects of family law including; dissolutions, annulments, custody and visitation disputes, civil harrasment and domestic violence restraining orders, and adoptions, My preference is for problem solving and mutually agreed resolutions in family law disputes, but I have litigated numerous family law cases and have extensive experience in motion practice. I have had cases involving Sharia Law and one involving Sikh laws and customs. I have also represented clients in domestic partner dissolutions.I handle civil ligation cases achieving or assisting in reaching settlements and going to trial. Examples of cases I have had include; personal injury, automobile injuries, products liablilty, neighbor disputes, trade secrets theft, trademark infringement.and premises liability. I assisted in recovering a five figure settlement in a products liability case, and a five figure settlement for a vehicle collision resulting in a broken wrist.I represented a client in the co-ordinated Viox settlement, working with common counsel. Without common counsel I twice appealed adverse rulings by the Settlement Committee ultimately obtaining a six figure award for the client.
