I officially started in construction when I was 18 years old doing grunt/labor work such as pulling nails, cutting boards, and cleaning up behind the carpenters. Eventually I worked my way into framing, and shortly after, concrete. I did my job, whatever it was at the time, diligently, maintaining a healthy balance of safety and productivity. After some time, I wanted to try my hand at other fields and industries out of curiosity and a need for knowledge. I always found the good in whatever I was doing, and enjoyed every job I did. I loved gaining experience in new things and knowledge of handling diversity. With that, I headed back to my first love. Construction. This time, I wanted to try a different side of construction than before, so I chose the inspection route. This is one of the best choices I’ve ever made. I love the challenges this job brings. The continual education, the different plan writing styles, the personalities, and the ability to assure or control a quality outcome are what makes this job click for me.I am currently continuing my education through paid online courses, and working in the field as a Journeyman Special Inspector. Always looking forward to my next opportunity.
