Prepare and present Planning & Zoning agenda items. Prepare and present Board of Zoning Appeals agenda items. Review plats, variances, rezonings, building and sign permits. Also involved in Code Enforcement as Code Enforcement Official.

• Inspect building and land use for conformity with zoning rules, ordinances, and regulations. Enforced City Code of Ordinances. Perform investigations to determine if violations of ordinances existed including landscaping. Issue verbal warnings, written warnings, citations, and notices of violation/hearing for violations. Provide technical assistance to contractors, property owners, and their agents. Prepare cases for, and testified in front of, Code Enforcement Board and Special Magistrates. Review Landscape plans for Development Review Committee (DRC). Conduct final landscape inspections for compliance. Review all tree removal permits. Provide training and guidance to entry-level enforcement staff.• Achieved certification in Levels I – IV from the Florida Association of Code Enforcement (FACE). Achieved certification as a certified arborist through the International Society of Arboculture (ISA). Achieved certification as a certified Landscape Inspector through the Landscape Inspectors Association of Florida (LIAF). Participate in local damage assessment team charged with estimating the impact on the City following multiple tropical storm/hurricane landfalls (e.g. Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma in 2005).
