Metrology Lab Gage Technician
CurrentI am responsible for some 4852 gages that we maintain for all Wix Facilities North & South Caroline. We run a software package called GMS that we track all of our gages through. I do Gage R&R's and MSA Studies. I do repair, calibration on Mitutoyo, Starrett, Brown & Sharp, Craftsman, Kanon & other hand held gages such as Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Granite Plates, Stopwatches, Some Type of Scales, Alignment Gages, Spring testers, Pressure Gages, Steel Rulers, Squareness fixtures, Surface… Show more I am responsible for some 4852 gages that we maintain for all Wix Facilities North & South Caroline. I do repair, calibration on Mitutoyo, Starrett, Brown & Sharp, Craftsman, Kanon & other hand held gages such as Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Granite Plates, Stopwatches, Some Type of Scales, Alignment Gages, Spring testers, Pressure Gages, Steel Rulers, Squareness fixtures, Surface Plates, Thread Micrometers, Timers, Torque Wrenches & many more. I have handled PPAP, Production Part Approval Processes where measuring comes into play. I can run a CMM, Cordinate Measuring Machine (MItutoyo BH305 & a B241), Also both CMM's are fitted with camera systems for non contact measuring. Micro-Vu none contact measuring machine, Bench Micrometer, Indicator calibration testers, & more. I've been working in the Metrology Lab for 16 1/2 years currently. Show less
