Darrell Stark is Principal Sr. IP Counsel - Leader for GE Aerospace in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he leads the IP strategy development and execution for the Commercial Engines & Services business and Defense & Systems and Edison Works military/government businesses. Darrell works closely with the engineering and business leadership to protect and enforce GE Aerospace’s IP rights in patents, trade secrets, trademarks, and copyrights, as well as defend against third party IP claims. Darrell leads GE Aerospace's IP group's Freedom to Practice and Litigation & Disputes functions and manages a team of IP Counsels. Darrell regularly advises and negotiates on data rights and other IP terms in government and commercial contracts, and is active in industry group IP committees. Prior to joining GE Aerospace, Darrell was an IP Litigator at Ropes & Gray in Washington, D.C., focusing on patent and trade secret disputes in federal courts and administrative proceedings. Darrell also clerked at the Federal Circuit for former Chief Judge Randall R. Rader in 2013-2014.
