Responsible for direction of the day-to-day functions of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care is provided to our residents at all times. Apostolic Christian Timber Ridge is a 74-bed facility which is licensed and Medicaid certified as an Intermediate Care Facility for Intellectually/Developmentally Disabled. Timber Ridge provides for the residential and training needs of people who have intellectual/developmental disabilities and are in need of a high level of personal care and medical care. All residents are assessed and provided a full range of services including training in personal, social and leisure skills and speech, occupational and physical therapy. Services are designed to maximize community integration, independence and normalization. There are nurses and “direct support professionals” (DSPs) on duty 24 hours a day.All of our residents attend a developmental day program or a vocational training. Most of these are independent programs in the community. For those who are unable to leave the facility regularly an alternate day program is provided in the facility.
