Mcb Camp Lejeune

Responsible for overseeing planning and execution of the Ops and Plans Division within the G-3/5 comprised of the following areas: Current Operations, Future Operations/Plans, Mission Assurance/Force Protection, Combat Camera support, Formal Schools, and Installation Emergency Management. The division and its branches support a regional command of seven installations and the largest USMC training base on the East coast.

Served as AC/S G7, Government and External Affair Aug 2011-Mar 2012. Mar 2012 assumed duties of Deputy Commander for regional command overseeing seven USMC installations along the EAST Coast and also Deputy Commander for MCB Camp Lejeune. Retained duties until transition to retirement. Retired 1 July 2013.

Responsible to the Commanding General for the daily planning, supervision and execution of all flight, ground, air base, and logistic support operations for 2d MAW (FWD) in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Commanding Officer, Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 162.Responsible for leading, supervising and conducting safe flight operations of a 14 aircraft squadron numbering approximately 150 personnel. This includes aircraft maintenance, flight operations and associated safety, logistics, and administrative / legal functions inherent in a military squadron.

Second in command of a composite MAG consisting of six squadrons comprised of four different helicopter types and an Aviation Logistics Group which provides aviation maintenance support to the squadrons. This time period encompassed planning, embarkation, deployment and combat operations of a reinforced MAG in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Second in command of a MEU (SOC) consisting of over 2000 personnel made up of a ground combat element, aviation combat element, logistics combat element, and a command element during planning, training, embarkation on three amphibious ships and deployment to Operation Enduring Freedom.

Second in command of a Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron comprised of 14 aircraft and approx 150 personnel. During this period the squadron became a composite squadron of six different types of aircraft including both fixed wing and helicopter totaling 25 aircraft along with an aviation maintenance element. This composite squadron was the aviation combat element for 22d MEU (SOC) during an overseas deployment aboard amphibious shipping.
