From adjusting voice modulation beneath the flight deck of the USS Coral Sea to rooting 5G Android devices for global cellular providers, my venture in Avionics and Wireless Telecom has given me a front row seat to the amazing advancements in radio communication over the past quarter of a century. My career within that time span took many paths into manufacturing, support, exportation, project management and quality assurance. Carved out by amazing challenges, adventures and people from around the world. Some highlights that come to mind: the night CV-43 collided with an Ecuadorian oil tanker, the radios from Air Force One that broke down after freezing, thawing, freezing, thawing and freezing! (that's how they were tested in the field- 2 caps had to be reengineered), the cell phone installs for Saudi embassy limos (ultimate get away cars!), the Rolling Stones concert in Sao Paulo, dune bashing in Dubai, crossing the Arctic Circle in Sweden ("5 bar" cell service!), the eerie nights working during covid, the blood caked MTU removal in Midland Texas (driver was stabbed to death, the police returned vehicle "as is"), "crewing" the Shillelagh on ventures into Georgetown (VPs sports yacht), and then there was that one radio...
