For more than thirty years I have taught middle school, teaching a variety classes in Math, Science and Technology, to a broad spectrum of students in California and Washington. I entered the teaching profession because I wanted to have a positive influence in the lives of students - to be a role model, an encourager and, at times, a calming force in their lives. Thirty years later, that is still my primary motivation for doing what I do. While many at my stage in life might be looking forward to retirement, I am not - at least not in the traditional sense. I am looking forward to what is next. To that end, I completed a Masters degree in Theology, through Whitworth University in 2023. My hope is to, someday (maybe soon), do a different work with a similar theme of being a model of integrity while helping others find hope. I would love to connect with a Christian nonprofit where I can serve by sharing my unique set of skills and perspective on faith and life.
