The Life Book ministry was founded by The Gideons International to get God’s Word to high school students. The Life Book includes the Gospel of John plus introductory material from the Old Testament, answers to questions teens may have, and the Plan of Salvation. It is provided at no cost to church youth pastors for the high school students to give to their friends and fellow students at school.The distribution of the Life Book began in November 2009 and reached a total of 560,000 copies by May 2011. Plans are underway to distribute 3,000,000 copies during the 2012-13 school year. In July 2012, it was incorporated into the Gideons International.
