I have phone conversations with parents of current students and UCSB alumni about student programs that benefit all UCSB students, petitioning them to support these programs financially so that they continue to be available to current and future students at no cost.

In this role I lead a handful informal discussions on pressing/controversial topics on campus like abortion, police brutality, and sexual orientation. This experimental role was created the year I filled it, and exists so that students from all walks of life can share their opinions and benefit from hearing others' perspectives. I was part of the process of testing how this new student service would be recieved and it became very popular! In addition to keepng the conversations focused and civil, I also prepared budgets for food, and advertised for each event.

I worked at a Jack in the Box franchise near my home in San Diego during my Junior/Senior year of high school. It was a great experience learning how to operate the chain's point of sale system, how to offer prompt and proffessional service, and how to budget my time between work and school.
