At different time during the year students from the Jefferson Arts Academy in Elizabeth are given three week intensive learning courses in the art of producing graphic art, fine art, illustration, and given the background and history of the origins of art to coincide with the current gallery shows. Designed and implemented both a computer design course and a comics art program for pre-teens and teenagers. Design course was for teenagers and covered the basics of shape, color, line and type as it related to balance, form and unity of concept. Comic students were taught the fundamentals of comic art and comic art production. All were shown how to construct a story, how to have the art tell the story and how to complete it in a professional manner. Younger students were taught to have fun with what they were drawing and to follow the standard rules while they did their art.
