I've been at the BBC (Pension department) for the past 26 years.I initially started on our Administration team, moving up to the Systems area back in 2007.Since then I was programming our in-house calculations and providing data analysis on large data-sets.Programming languages I have used, but not limited to are Oracle, Fortran, Shell (Bash and others), SQL (including off-shoots), Java, JavaScript, VBScript. When our Member Self Service website (mybbcpension.co.uk) for current and past BBC staff was brought in, back in 2016, I developed a bespoke website which involved using the prior mentioned along with HTML, CSS, Groovy and the web-services from our software supplier to interact with our systems.Since 2021 I moved to the Senior Systems Engineer role in the department where I assist newer members of staff and concentrate on our MSS website.The above is a short summary, as it would take a considerable amount of time to provide a more in-depth history.
