While working for Barker Ross I have worked various relief/bank jobs on weekends and school holidays.I worked for organisations such as Leeds Autism services and South Yorkshire Housing Association amongst others.

Worked in 3 different homes in Leeds and Bradford and also in the organisations school. Whist working in these homes ,which were all very different.I beleive I done my best to integrate with young people and staff in a professional manner.I feel I made them feel at ease and tried my best to support them in whatever I was tasked with.At one of the homes I was comendated by the homes manager for my professional behaviour .This was during a waking night duty where I was supporting a young person in crisis.

Worked for Celsion Education as a teaching assistant, working in both mainstream schools and Pupil Referred Units (PRU) specialising in working with young people with emotional and behavioural disorders (EBD).

I assisted with the every day care of young people in a residential settings.This included making meals.washing clothes,and general housekeeping duties.in addition making sure the young person was transported between home,school youth clubs etc.Also the staff made sure the young person were regularly checked that that they has washed and were hygienic.In addition staff made sure the young persons rooms were tidy on a daily basis. Also we took young people to weekly shopping for food and items for the home and improve their independent living skills.Another part of your role was to work in the classroom assisting teachers and other staff.I helped in staff meetings in planning lesions,trips etc.Because of the complex needs of the YP and behavioural issues it was important you were there to support the teaching staff and the YP.If a behavioural episode occurred you supported staff and challenged the YP if it was deemed appropriate at the time.This is very important especially on trips and visits that teachers and support staff work together overseeing the YPs behaviour.

Worked from 2009- 2012 for Leeds City Council as a qualified youth worker and worked in five different youth provisions a week. This role includes being centre based and in detached form around South Leeds Outer Villages. The basis of my work is in universal and targeted youth work form In addition we focus on issues such as sexual health, drugs and alcohol and healthy living as well as other issues.

Worked as a home delivery driver for Sainsbury's limited ,located in the White Rose Centre in Leeds. I delivered groceries to customers at their homes .I had to stick to tight delivery times and traffic could make this a very stressful and demanding role. I have experience at working with young offenders while working with Sunderland Social Services as a volunteer mentor .This included being paired with a young person who had offended, where my role was to offer help and support and hopefully stop future re-offending.
