Served as the ECLSS mission integration area lead which included participating in regular defect burn-down tag ups, weekly status meetings regarding objective completion, schedule, and budget/cost, as well as mission test reviews. I was responsible for overseeing the performance of the following human-rated spacecraft subsystems: The Air Revitalization System (ARS), the Active Thermal Control Subsystem (ATCS), the Pressure Control System (PCS), the Potable Water Subsystem (PWS), the Waste Management System (WMS), the Fire Detection Subsystem (FDS), and the Consumable Storage System (CSS).- Developed test scripts and procedures during the DDT&E integration campaign for functional checkouts of Orion life support hardware based on Interface Control Documents (ICDs). Served as Test Engineer for the execution of the tests in a variety of avionics labs. Analyzed the post-test data by creating and reviewing test reports, tracking any associated flags/defects to closure.- Worked collaboratively with a multi-disciplined team of flight software and simulated software engineers to define the conditions necessary for a successful mission test, including authoring crew/ground manual use cases which were also tested during integrated mission tests. - Designed, implemented, and tested a variety of ECLSS crew displays, including the Fan, Oxygen, and Suit display. This effort included close collaboration with the NASA JSC astronaut office to gather human-in-the-loop feedback for optimal design with an emphasis on requirement verification.- Tested off-nominal ECLSS scenarios (such as an unpressurized return) to ensure the ECLSS fault detection and response (FDIR) as well as the backup flight software (BFS) mitigated the associated risks and issues.- Taught an employee training course to help with the cultural transformation on the Orion program necessary when shifting from the design phase (DDT&E) to the production phase (OPOC), focusing on agility and affordability.
