Highly experienced in the Telecommunications industry, working with multiple groups gaining a wide knowledge base of differing architectures. Deal daily with local and state authorities to provide a safe and constructible design to minimise cost but also to minimise risk to staff, visitors and general public both pre and post construction. High level discussions between major customers eg, NBN, Government bodies, Defence Force, Banking sector, BHP, Dept. of Education, Energy authorities, Local Councils, Main Roads, Heritage and Cultural authorities. Access Networks designs and construction with both optical fibre and copper. Highly involved with all NBN deployment architectures, eg FTTP, FTTN, FTTB and FTTC, through field assessment, design and construction.Provide High level technical support to field survey specialists & office based Design in the validation of NBN Co.’s Multi Technology Mix (MTM) designs for FTT(x). Conduct pre-construct walkouts to assess planned builds, pain points prior to issue to construction.Provide alternate construction/integration designs for FTTx architectures.Provide architectural training (FTTP, N, B and C) and coaching across the national teams. Compile technical training documents directed to field staff and follow up with both theory and practical training experiences for teams nationally.Work collaboratively with Program Managers, Network Audit, Process teams, and Commercial and Technical specialists to deliver accountabilities. Liaise between Council/Design/LASA/Hospitals/Airports/Port Authorities etc. and conduct HEC walkouts.Mentor Field staff in Complex new build routes alternatives and redesigns to provide cost saving constructible designs. Engage external contractors which include Surveyors, ASP3 Designers, Environmental specialists and nbn construction partners.

Interpret preliminary design data (in field).Propose placement of FTTP and FTTN nodes.Proposed electrical connection points to meet power authority’s guidelines.Assess breakout points for node interconnection into both copper and fibre networks.Assess complex builds to provide both constructible and cost effective solutions.Conduct all complex construction proposals.Meet all statuary requirements for construction requirements with in Heritage, Environmental and Cultural areas Plan devices in suitable locations to eliminate safety risks, meet infrastructure guidelines, bypass EPR risks, and minimise unnecessary builds.Liaise with Office based Design staff, Land access groups, Councils, Civil constructors, NBN construction/design and operations staff and general public.

Propose network extensions that meet all required criteria and future network integrity.
