Operations Manager. • Management of productions at our Spanish facility. This involved the receipt of raw materials from overseas, warehousing of the cargo, later movement to production facility, monitoring the production to ensure it was produced to the agreed parameters, auditing the stock, coordinating final packing of the product, arranging shipment of goods to final destination. The cargo in most cases was held under duty suspension so this also had to be managed with the local authorities in Spain or with HMRC in the UK.• I was responsible for hiring and managing a small operational team in London• I was the single point of contact on all customer service issues• I was responsible for locating and auditing of numerous stock locations throughout the UK and Europe• The successful movement (annually) of $300m of stock globally by land, sea and air• Working with Spanish joint venture clients to supply the UK supermarkets.• I was responsible for the management of the freight account for both sea and land, and negotiation of those rates. • Management responsibility for all document issuance, from the sales contract to the final invoice. This often involved documents that had to be presented against a Letter of Credit. • Responsibility for debt management. In order to ensure we had sufficient cash flow it was important that all customers settled debts on time, late invoices were chased within one day of due date. This was of greater importance in the later years at Panfoods as all of the financing for the Brazilian operation was made through our office so cash flow was critical.

• Managing both Import and Export of containerized material and bulk liquids from India, China and Thailand, this included movement of hazardous materials• The auditing of warehouses and our stocks throughout Europe• Freight negotiations, both sea and land (achieving 20% cost savings)• Approval of product quality prior to settlement of purchase invoice• Arranging the sampling of products to potential new customers
