I had the privilege of leading a dedicated team of staff and cultivating a thriving learning environment for young people across all year groups. I was responsible for learning and teaching in the Chemistry department. I achieve consistently high qualifications for my pupils in both National 5 and Higher Chemistry.• The health and safety of all of the pupils in my care• Planning and delivering relevant and exciting lessons of Science, Chemistry and PSHE• Marking and feedback of pupil work with the aid of evaluation sheets and• Learning Logs• Liaise and update senior members of staff on pupil progress, and wellbeing.Responsibilities within my department are to:• Develop meaningful and relevant learning resources for all levels ranging from:• BGE Level 2 to Advanced Higher.• Moderation and cross markingFrom each of these, I have gained significant knowledge of creating and marking pupil work.
