I am a student in the Master of Management and Professional Accounting program at the University of Toronto, working towards my CPA designation. My interest in accounting stems from my background in business education with my undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta specializing in Economics. During my undergraduate years, I had both professional, volunteer and leadership experiences that have prepared me for the MMPA program and that I feel will serve me well in the accounting profession. I believe that my analytical skills and dedication to helping others is a great combination for a CPA candidate as accounting is an industry that requires both. I have volunteered with 630 CHED Santas Anonymous and was also the Vice President for the Chinese Students & Scholars Association which had around 120 members in 2020. These experiences have affirmed that I want to work in organizations that value giving back and serving clients with care and integrity.Over the years, I have developed strong technical skills in excel, R studio and Power bi. I gained some of these skills outside of school to ensure that I was continuously learning and building my skillset. I take the initiative and use my curiosity to continue on my life long path of continuous learning
