Deployed infrastructure and novel products to support Cruise's electric/autonomous fleet. Built and led teams responsible for operations & service, product strategy, fleet optimization, and new automation technologies:Fleet Infra Ops- Managed a fleet network of 200+ chargers, improved uptime from ~80% to 98%+.- Streamlined HW and SW procurement from 12+ brands to 5 preferred suppliers.- Stood up stopgap charging for sites with limited/nonexistent grid power, charging over 150 cars per day.- Integrated charger telemetry into fleet dispatch.Fleet Infra Engineering- Worked with Stanford researchers to adapt and commercialize an electric AV fleet dispatch model.- Oversaw an external engineering team to design and build a <$15k charging robot prototype in 6 months.- Led negotiations with 6 suppliers to ultimately accomplish a zero-NRE production robot contract with a 1-yr payback, with savings in the tens of millions of dollars annually.

A brief tour of duty in the not-for-profit world. Provided seed funding to explore novel financial mechanisms for climate infrastructure. Partnered with New York State and various philanthropies and corporations to respond to COVID.

Analyzed customer usage and deployment processes at our charging sites, projected the impact of fleet growth, and drove architecture decisions for Tesla's next generation of charging products.Built a Supercharger simulator to generate load profiles, project fleet usage, and evaluate algorithm improvements. This tool empowered the engineering and deployment teams to appropriately size Supercharger sites, optimize solar and storage deployments, and evaluate new designs. Optimized the architecture of the V3 Supercharger, resulting in >$10M in annual savings and fewer SKUs.Upgraded Fremont factory end-of-line charging infrastructure to enable an immediate additional >600 vehicles per week, with eventual capability to support >10,000 vehicles per week.

Led hardware design to improve cost, reliability, and manufacturability of module-level power electronics. Coordinated PCBA and solar module manufacturing for successive 3kW, 30kW, and 300kW pilot sites. Obtained a $1.2M Department of Energy (DoE) SunShot award.

Dragonfly Systems developed a unique power electronics solution for large-scale solar, which decreases day-one installation costs and provides recurring benefits in the form of increased reliability and safety. Our patented technology enabled us to reduce device costs by an order of magnitude compared to conventional products, making us ideal for commercial- and utility-scale solar installations.Funded by the Department of Energy, Stanford's TomKat Center, and various private investors, and participated in Highway1's hardware incubator. Acquired by SunPower in the summer of 2014.
