Senior Project Manager within the company, leading the Innovation & Consultancy work area. Overall responsibilities are to deliver a target income into the business and successfully develop and deliver innovation and sustainability consultancy projects. Manage C-Tech’s involvement in a number of exploitation and business model / planning services within FP7 / Horizon 2020 collaborative projects. Of note - Leading C-Tech's input in supporting 400+ North West SMEs to adopt new processes, products and systems with a sustainability benefit via the 3-year North West Eco-Innovation Programme - in partnership with Lancaster University. - Significant role in delivering £5million+ in capital and R&D growth funding for North West SMEs, managing C-Tech’s input into the Catalyst for Growth (Regional Growth Fund) programme - in partnership with University of Chester. . - Successfully developed and delivered the ‘Eco-I Calderdale’ project, run as part of Business Growth Calderdale. Assisted 60+ SMEs to reduce costs, win work, improve their environmental performance; and take advantage of business opportunities afforded by the green economy.

Responsibity for Environmental Management across the company: - Achieved successful certification of the company’s Corporate EMS to ISO 14001 standard across the UK. - Developed, implemented and communicated a National Corporate Environmental Management System. - Audited UK sites and depots for ISO 14001 and legal compliance. - Supported regional teams to implement eco-initiative, processes and procedures. - Led on the analysis, calculation and reporting of environmental impact and improvement data. - Part of team that developed submission to Business in the Community CR Index – Silver Award as highest placed newcomer. - Developed innovative client solutions in support of new bids.

Delivery and development of environmental management consultancy for public and private clients. Of note: - Led EMS support and delivery project for International Business Forum members - as part of a wider Defra EMS / BS 8555 Implementation Programme. Involved group training and on-site audits and consultancy support. - Led, delivered and reported on an Evaluation Programme on behalf of Regional Development Agency (EMDA) - assessing the impact of the funded Business Resource Efficiency Programme.

Managing the Business Services Team that provided environmental and health & safety support services to regional businesses through the long-running and successful Business Environment Association.

Project management and delivery roles on a number of local and regionally funded programmes, including Groundwork Business Environment Associations, resource efficiency projects, and consultancy projects. Of note: - Provision of on-site environmental support to a diverse range of business types and sizes, including safety, health and environmental reviews, EMS support, resource efficiency/waste minimisation reviews/auditing, and client management. More than 100 environmental audit days accumulated. - Delivery of a diverse range of certified and bespoke safety, health and environmental training courses, provided to delegates ranging from shopfloor employees to Company Directors and owners. Courses delivered include: CIWM Waste Awareness; CIEH Foundation H&S; CIEH 5-day Advanced H&S; CIEH Risk Assessment; CIEH Environmental Awareness; Resource Efficiency; and company-wide tailored environmental sessions.
