Primarily I was responsible for upscaling the IT skills of primary school teaching colleagues and pupils through the modelling of IT lessons and facilitating training sessions for local primary teachers and teaching assistants. To continue a seamless progression this led to me teaching Computing/IT lessons to Years 7 and 8 at Reddish Vale High School. From 2008 I was the lead coordinator responsible for the transition of pupils from Key Stages 2 to 3. This involved liaising with primary colleagues, parents, SENCO and pastoral teams and a number of outside agencies to ensure an effective transition process, which included organising several transition events such as tutor and parent meetings and Year 6 introduction days.
