While pursuing my Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer and Voice Networking from Alexandria Technical and Community College, I developed skills in networking many types of devices and equipment through the Cisco Certified Networking Associate(CCNA) classes. Ranging from layer 2 switches to routers and some CSU/DSU setup, as well as Windows servers, PC’s, printers and VoIP phones. Also, I established knowledge of Windows Domain setup and support, website creation and management, system analysis and design, and wireless network setup.I started my career as an IT Support Technician with Douglas County Information technology in April 2007. That position led to a permanent full time position and progressed to IT Network Analyst. Through my 8+ years of experience, I achieved a great deal of experience working hands on directly and remotely managing and setting up local area networks as well as domain server and desktop administration. Myself along with my 4 team members managed a network of 400+ devices and 350+ users. These devices resided in 5 different buildings as well as several mobile devices in law enforcement vehicles. I then worked with a security company and broadened my skills into the area of building access control and security systems. I had to support anything from networking routers, switches and wifi; Windows Domain Servers and desktops to door access card readers and any cabling in between. Currently I work with a company that supports primarily government agencies; counties, cities and law enforcement offices. In this position I am the primary IT person for several agencies. Ranging from law enforcement offices of 3 or 4 people to counties with one hundred plus employees. In this position I utilize my knowledge acquired in my previous 2 positions throughout multiple different environments across the state, via remote and direct onsite support.
