Duties include: Providing NT/PICK/SCO/OS5 Network/hardware systemssupport to our client sites and in house systems, provide in-house training and assistance to colleagues. Primary Duties: Developing, maintaining and supporting our current software suite in DATABASIC, which is in use by many customer sites across England and Wales. This software package includes Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Nominal Ledger, Stock Control, Sales Processing, Purchase Order Processing and Electrical Wholesale (luckins). All these modules are all integrated into a complete system.

Duties included: Manage and administer the computer system supplied by MOS Computers. The first 3 years of joining Frank Wilkins I was involved in running a very old computer system which was replaced in 1987 with a system supplied by MOS and the software supplied was written in Databasic on PICK and when this system was installed I began to get involved with the programming side for our own requirements.I was involved in many aspects in the running of Frank Wilkins which included raising invoices / Credit notes cash sheets and nominal and many other accounting area roles. I wrote a wide variety of programs some of which include a fully integrated Quotation system, an overnight scheduling system to allow the production of reports when the system was in less demand, reorder reports and other more general reports, Product costing, Customer order record system, Price List production and printing, printer selection and control, Salesman figures enquiry and a great many more.I also gained some experience in telecommunications due to a link between our main office in Portsmouth and a branch in Somerset.
