I was employed working as a Project Manager for a design agency specialising in digital signage, infographics, video motion graphics and other ad hoc design support for clients working across several industries. This involved working with the design team and clients to plan projects, making sure they were kept on track and in-scope: including Asana scheduling, Slack and issuing regular updates.

I worked as a Production Manager for a highly creative studio, mostly specialising in hand-drawn 2-D animation. This requires planning, managing and coaching different creative teams involved in the production of an episode from the Disney+ anthology series Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire. It was a pleasure to be working with this team of diverse artists and fellow producers in a "people first" culture.My day to day tasks involved scheduling project tasks and the production timeline, tracking progress, day to day management and troubleshooting, improving processes while working closely with all different phases of the production pipeline - from production designs to rough animation, special FX, Clean-Up, Ink & Paint and compositing. Tools used included GoogleDocs, F-Track, Shotgrid and Discord.

Fixed-term contract working with the scheduling teams of Ireland's public service broadcaster to plan, build, troubleshoot and reconcile accurate schedules for main channels including RTE2 and RTEjr. Tools used included IBMS

Following on from my time with the marketing team, I took a short-term contract role working on RTÉ's video on demand player. I was responsible for managing the overall quality of programme descriptions and images, and publishing TV broadcast content and live events to the RTÉplayer app. There was also some forward planning for major events, and during my time there I was able to use my experience to suggest workflow & system improvements.

Upon moving to Dublin I was employed on a contract at RTÉ's marketing department. I was working closely with the promo producers to make sure all on-air TV promos were delivered on time, and was responsible for the planning and scheduling of TV promos, credit squeezes and RTÉ Brand Campaigns across RTÉ One and RTÉ 2.There was also plenty of ad hoc scheduling management, including QC-passing promos and implementing late changes without disruption to transmission. I was even an extra in the promo for RTÉ's 2018 Toy Show (I was Santa!) Tools used included IBMS and MS Office

As Video On Demand took the TV industry by storm, my team expanded and I took on some extra management responsibilities in planning on demand content. Managing the VOD planning team included recruiting, training and coaching the team for ongoing personal development, and I'm very proud of the work my team were able to accomplish. The bulk of the work was spent maximising use of the programming portfolio across 40+ affiliate VOD deals, ensuring a regular supply of compelling catch-up/ archive content and accurate metadata to business partners including Sky, BT, itunes, Google Play and Virgin Media. In recognition of my achievements I was voted one of the top 50 UK VOD professionals in 2014 and 2017 by VOD Professional.My team were responsible for the forward planning strategy and editorial direction of VOD programming in UK & Ireland, Europe and Emerging Markets. During this time we worked on several large and complex deals, working across multiple channel brands (inc Discovery, TLC, ID, Quest & Animal Planet) together with research, marketing and listing teams to develop the business, plan programming campaigns, identify new opportunities and analyse performance.Tools used included IBMS, Tableau and MS OfficeI left this job in 2017 so I could move to Ireland.

I moved across to a newly created role with responsibility for scheduling and managing TV content for Discovery's video on demand clients across UK, Europe and emerging markets. At the time video on demand was still quite new and I'm proud to have established the VOD planning team at such an exciting and fast-moving time. As well as developing best scheduling practice from the ground up, I took the initiative to establish stronger relationships with our clients in order to tailor the best programming packages for them, and provide the optimum viewing experience for their customers.

I was promoted to Senior Presentation Scheduler with responsibility for maintaining performance of a team of 6 schedulers working across Discovery’s Polish, Romanian and Hungarian TV channels.(A presentation scheduler is responsible for scheduling all the elements you see on TV apart from programming. It's basically like putting together a massive playlist of everything that needs to happen on the channel that day, including promos, graphics, end credit squeezes, sponsorship and station logos etc.)

After working on a long-term contract, I was offered a full time role at Discovery working on the presentation scheduling for Discovery Science (Italy), Travel and Living (Italy) and Discovery (Spain and Portugal). This meant ensuring accurate and compliant schedules according to media plans, as well as scheduling continuity, sponsorship and promotion campaigns.

This was a short term contract working at NBC's London HQ working on presentation scheduling (all the non-programming elements of a TV channel) for lifestyle channel Diva TV and KidsCo's Western European/Asian channels.

After being made redundant (well it was 2009), I took on a few short term contracts. One of these was some cover putting together the programme schedules for Comedy Central and Comedy Central Extra in the UK.

Yes, I know... this was perhaps not the most conventional place to work, but the time I spent there was instrumental in developing my broadcast management and scheduling skills. This was a great opportunity to learn how broadcast TV is managed and without my time at Playboy I'd have never gained a foothold in places like Discovery or RTE.As Scheduling and Content Manager my job was to building programme inventories, repurposing content and managing broadcast rights to ensure programming was used to its full commercial potential across traditional TV, retail and new platforms. This was a new role that I was able to fully make my own. Towards the end of the time there I also took on the running of the Operations team, reorganising the team to ensure the smooth running and technical quality of broadcast materials. In addition, myself and my team worked closely with producers and distributors to manage acquisitions, commission dubbing, revisioning and subtitling. I also took on some Production Management and Executive Producing duties where required. Tools used included IBMS and MS OfficeYes, I did meet Heff. It was kind of disappointing. No, I didn't go to the mansion.

After mastering presentation scheduling, I moved into programming and worked on building detailed schedules for Playboy TV UK (subscription and pay-per–view service) and Germany (free to air). This included strategic planning of events and promotions, writing and editing listings for press and day-to-day running of the channel.

After doing some freelance work for Playboy as a programme researcher, I was taken on full-time by Playboy as a presentation scheduler. This involved using the broadcast management system to create a daily playlist of all the non-programming events on the channel - such as promos, ads and graphics.
