(www.abacus.net) in 1996 and launched the revolutionary Abacus online insurance platform that would enable insurance brokers and agents to easily access, write and sell specialized insurance products.Darren's responsibilities include expanding the Abacus product portfolio and partnering with insurance carriers to underwrite specialty coverages. Today, 3,500+ brokerages representing 10,000+ insurance professionals access the 30 programs managed and distributed by Abacus. The programs are managed on behalf of top-tiered carriers including ACE, AIG, Allianz, AXIS, SwissRe, Zurich and others and operate in a completely automated internet-based environment.The Abacus proprietary systems were a finalist in A.M. Best's 2002 "E-Fusion" contest which scouts for the best use of technology in the insurance industry.
