Have been a part of the trucking Industry for over 20 years, started in counter parts for a Freightliner dealer, moving into outside parts sales for both Freightliner and International. Through hard work and forging partnerships with our customers found myself in new and used truck sales for an International dealer in Louisville, KY. One of those customers was Thorntons, I was offered a fantastic opportunity to learn from one of the most respected and knowledgable fleet managers in the industry, to help manage an 80 plus truck fleet of fuel haulers for one of the premier Convenience Store Chains in the United States. I now manage the Safety Department, while also being responsible for procuring new equipment and reselling the used equipment along with being responsible for two maintenance facilities.I hold a class A CDL with HazMat endorsement, have extensive sales and management training. Have implemented 2 different quarterly safety bonus programs which leverage data from our Telematics provider and executed a successful switchover to new ELD equipment.The focus is to continue the Thornton Transportation legacy which is to provide reliable, safe transportation of fuel while continuing to be a fleet that consistently scores in the top 2-3% of compliant fleets in the USA according to the FMCSA. To provide lighter equipment that will haul more fuel without sacrificing reliability or safety.
